Do we have to attend all three tournaments to have a chance to win the Grand Prize?

A team does not have to attend all 3 events to win the Grand Prize. However, the National Collegiate Ultimate Series points system is weighted to reward consistent results across all three tournaments over any 1 high finish. Even if a team in the case of a team winning 2 Premier Events, the door is open for another team that has attended and performed consistently at all three Premier Events to claim the Grand Prize.


What happens in the case of a tie?

The tiebreaking procedures are as follows:

  • 1) The number of wins at Premier Events
  • 2) The most recent highest finish*

*The most recent Premier Event, or in the case that neither team has a Premier Event championship, the most recent Final or Semi-Final, whichever is the team's highest finish)


Is there a Women's Division?

Yes, The National Collegiate Ultimate Series will also have a Women's Division, structured similarly to the Men's Division but with different Prizes. The competitive structure within the Women's National Collegiate Ultimate Series will be more responsive to the different needs within the Women's Division


Are all Teams able to Participate in the National Collegiate Ultimate Series?

Participation is extended to all teams, with the opportunity to gain points resricted only by the number of teams invited to individual tournaments.


Can A Team Earn Points at Any Tournament?

The opportunity to earn points in 2008 will only be available at Warm-Up: A Florida Affair, Trouble In Vegas, The Stanford Invite, and Centex.







NCUS 2008

The National Collegiate Ultimate Series unites the most competitive College Ultimate tournaments of the spring season into a cohesive Series. The NCUS was designed to enhance the sport's competitive structure and showcase the game's highest levels.

Participating teams will be awarded points based on their finishes at sanctioned events (see tournaments section for complete schedule), which will be used to determine the 2008 NCUS Final Rankings.

Earning NCUS points:

Points will be awarded to all teams who qualify for the Championships Brackets at a Premier NCUS event, and the finalists of any NCUS event. Championship Brackets begin at Quarterfinals in the highest division represented at an event. See the point system section for more details.
